They can solve addition and subtraction problems with numbers up to 20.
They should also know the values of the U.S. coins: penny, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar bill,
and be able to count amounts of money up to $1 in cents, and $10 in dollars.

In the UK, 1st Grade is equivalent to Year 2.
