At Fourth Grade, children enjoy exploring Math with fun Math activities and games.

During Fourth Grade, most children learn to round off numbers to the nearest 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000 or million.
They are able to add columns of numbers together accurately, and subtract numbers proficiently.
They show a good understanding of place value in relation to decimals, and can add and subtract
decimals with up to 2 decimal places.

Children are able to multiply a range of whole numbers by one or two digits, and divide numbers by a single digit.
They can use their multiplication table facts to answer related questions.

Children are able to compare fractions, and know how to work out equivalent fractions.
They are able to solve multi-step problems involving whole numbers, fractions and decimals.

In the UK, 4th Grade is equivalent to Year 5.

Salamander Shoot-out is a Math game which uses mental calculation skills and rolling dice to make different numbers.

There is also strategic thinking involved in picking out numbers for your opponent to try to shoot out.

For this game you will need three dice, and some counters.

Learning skills: using the rolls on the dice to make target numbers from -10 to 10; picking 'difficult' numbers for your opponent to shoot out.

Classify It Game #5 is a great game for getting children to develop their understanding of different math vocabulary such as multiple, factor and divisible.

It also helps to develop quick recall of addition facts of 4 small numbers.

Salamander Multiplication 2000 Game

SSalamander Multiplication 2000 Game is a multiplication game which will help to develop children's understanding of multiplying 2 digits, but also rounding and estimating calculations.

The aim of the game is to use your digits to make a product as close to 2000 as you can!

This is also a strategic game, because you receive your digit cards one at a time, and you have to make a decision about the best place for each card to go.

You cannot move a card once it has been placed!

For this game, you will need a set of digit cards per player.
