Here are the standards for the end of the year for 5th Grade.

- Use parentheses, or brackets, in numerical expressions and equations.
- Evaluate expressions with parentheses.
- Use and understand place value to thousandths (3 decimal places)
- Read, write and compare numbers with up to 3dp.
- Use place value to round decimals to any place.

- Multiply multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
- Divide whole numbers with up to 4 digits by divisors up to 2 digits.
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals to hundredths

- Add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators.
- Solve word problems involving the addition and subtraction of fractions.
- Understand that (a/b) is the same as (a ÷ b).
- Solve word problems involving division of whole numbers with fraction (or mixed number) answers.
- Multiply a fraction, or a whole number, by a fraction.
- Find the area of rectangles with fraction side-lengths.
- Divide a whole number by a unit fraction and a unit fraction by a (non-zero) whole number.

- Convert like measurement units within a given measurement system.
- Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8).
- Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots

- Understand volume and how it can be measured using cubes.
- Measure volume by counting unit cubes.
- Apply the formula V = l x w x h to calculate volumes of right rectangular prisms.
- Understand and use coordinates.
- Graph points in the first quadrant of the coordinate plane
- Classify two-dimensional figures in a hierarchy based on properties

- divide any whole number up to 10000 by a two digit number;
