Welcome to our Divisibility Rules Worksheets page where you will find our selection of sheets to help you test your knowledge of divisibility rules.

We also have a quick quiz to practice your skills online and some divisibility rules puzzles.

What does divisible mean?

  • A number is divisible by another number if it can be divided by the other number with no remainder.
  • So n is divisible by p if n ÷ p is a whole number with no remainder.

We can also say that a number is divisible by another number if it can be made by multiplying the other number by another whole number.

  • So n is divisible by p if n is in the p times table.

We can also say that n is divisible by p if:

  • p is a factor of n;
  • n is a multiple of p.

Divisibility Rules Worksheets

We have split our worksheets into two sections.

The first section contains 5 sheets and involves using the divisibility rules to fill in a table to say whether numbers are divisible by different digits.

The second section contains 2 puzzles - the aim of each puzzle is to use the clues to work out the correct solution from 8 possible answers.

Divisibility Rules Worksheets - Section 1

The sheets are graded with the easiest ones first.

The rules covered by each sheet are:

  • Sheet 1 - divisibility rules for 1, 5 and 10 only.
  • Sheet 2 - divisibility rules for 1, 2, 5 and 10 only.
  • Sheet 3 - divisibility rules for 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 and 10.
  • Sheet 4 - divisibility rules for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10.
  • Sheet 5 - divisibility rules for all numbers up to 10.
