These sheets have been designed to use place value skills to multiply decimals by 10 and 100.

Multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 is a key skill which supports a whole range of other math skills from percentages to unit conversions.

The following sheets are designed to practice multiplying a range of decimals up to 3dp by 10 or 100.

The sheets are graded so that the easier ones are at the top.

Using these sheets will help your child to:

- multiply decimals up to 3dp by 10 or 100;
- work out missing facts where a multiplier is missing, but the product is given;
- understand that multiplying by 10 or 100 makes the product ten or one-hundred times bigger.

Our sheets have been split up into 4 sections:

- the first section involves multiplying a range of decimals by 10;
- the second section involves multiplying a range of decimals by 100;
- the third section involves multiplying a range of decimals by 10 and 100;
- the fourth section contains some support sheets for multiplying by 10 and 100.

Within each section, the sheets are labelled A, B and C.

Sheet A involves multiplying decimals up to 1dp.

Sheet B involves multiplying decimals up to 2dp.

Sheet C involves multiplying decimals up to 3dp.

- the first sheet involves finding the answer to a multiplication fact of decimal numbers by 10 and 100
- the second sheet involves finding the missing multiplier when the answer is given.

You can use the charts by writing the numbers in the charts and then moving the digits either one or two places to the left depending on whether you are multiplying by 10 or 100.
