Here you will find a wide range of free printable Christmas Maths challenges and worksheets that will enrich your child's math learning as well as developing their math reasoning and number skills with a little Christmas sparkle thrown in.

The worksheets on this page are all set for children age from about 5-7 years old.

Christmas Maths Worksheets

Here you will find a range of math Christmas Challenges and activities from Kindergarten and First Grade.

Each challenge is graded with the easiest challenge first in each section.

Most challenges also come complete with an answer sheet for easy reference!

Kindergarten Christmas Counting Activity

These kindergarten counting worksheets all have a Christmas theme.

They cover counting up to 12, and also matching and counting the correct objects.

Each sheet is available as a color version or as a coloring sheet in black and white.

Christmas Square Adding Puzzles

These Christmas maths worksheets are suitable from age Kindergarten and upwards.

Challenges 1 to 5 are good for adding up a range of numbers, starting off with smaller numbers, and progressing on to adding multiples of 10.

Challenges 6 and 7 are more advanced pre-algebra sheets where children have to work out the values of the symbols.

Challenges 1 & 2:

  • adding several digits up to 4.

Challenge 3 & 4:

  • adding digits under 7.

Christmas Tree Challenges

The Christmas Tree Challenges are 'finding all possibilities' challenges that involve finding different combinations of presents unders Christmas trees.

These Christmas math worksheets are suitable for 1st grade and upwards, and grow increasingly more complex with more criteria to satisfy.

The learning in this challenge involves using adding and reasoning to try to satisfy all the criteria given.

Older children can also start to work systematically on these types of problems.

Challenge 1:

  • pairs of numbers that add to 12.

Challenge 2:

  • pairs of odd numbers that add to 16.

Christmas Challenge 2A

Challenge 2A involves using your addition and subtraction facts to break a code and work out a message.

Using this challenge will help your child to practise:

  • adding and subtracting up to 16.

Many of the challenges are very similar but involve bigger numbers, or more complicated working out.
