Here you will find a wide range of fun printable Math Games to
help your child develop their math skills.
We have a selection of different cards games from Kindergarten to 5th Grade.
All of the games in this section need a pack of playing cards to play.
Some of the games only use the ace to 9 or ace to 10 cards to play, with the face cards (court cards) removed. The playing cards are effectively being used as digit cards for these games.
Other games need the entire deck of cards to play.
Some of the games on this page are based on traditional card games which you may be familiar with, other games will be completely new.
The pairs card game is a simple game which almost everyone knows how to play.
We have made one simple change to this game to help to develop counting skills.
Pairs Card Game
Grade: Grade: Kindergarten and up
Number of players: 2-4
Learning: Counting to 10, memory.
Elevens is a solo card game which is great for practicing your number bonds to 11.
The aim of the game is to recognise pairs of numbers which add up to 11, and also the Jack-Queen-King sequence.

Three Card Straight is a card game which is great for practicing addition and subtraction facts within 13.
The aim of the game is to use your number skills to win 3 cards in consecutive order.

This game is similar to blackjack or pontoon, but simpler (and does not involve any gambling!)
The aim is to get as close as possible to 21 without going over or 'bust'.
Grade: 2nd Grade and upwards
Number of players: 2 to 5
Learning: adding within 21, strategy
Dice on target is a simple dice game to help kids learn their Math facts and develop their mental calculation skills.
The aim of the game is to get as close to a target as possible using the rolls on the dice and all four operations.
For this game you will need 4 dice and a pack of playing cards with the face cards (court cards) removed.

Salamander 4 Digit Card Game is a place value game which will help to develop children's understanding of place value up to 10,000.
The aim of the game is to use your digits to make the biggest number (or the smallest number) that you possibly can with your digit cards.
This is also a strategic game, because you receive your digit cards one at a time, and you have to make a decision about the best place for each card to go.
You cannot move a card once it has been placed!
For this game, each player will need a set of digit cards, or a set of playing cards of the same suit from Ace to 9.
Division Target Game is a math division game which helps children to approximate and calculate division facts mentally.
It also helps children to work out differences using a calculator.
The aim of the game is to get as close a possible to a given target number.
You will need a set of digit cards or playing cards with the face cards (and number 10) removed to play these games.
2 Digit Division Target Game
SSalamander Multiplication 2000 Game is a multiplication game which will help to develop children's understanding of multiplying 2 digits, but also rounding and estimating calculations.
The aim of the game is to use your digits to make a product as close to 2000 as you can!
This is also a strategic game, because you receive your digit cards one at a time, and you have to make a decision about the best place for each card to go.
You cannot move a card once it has been placed!
For this game, you will need a set of digit cards or a set of Ace to 9 playing cards per player.
Salamander Multiplication 2000 Game
Decimal Digit Dilemma is a game which uses digit cards to try to create a decimal number with certain properties.
The aim of the game is to be the player that has got closest to an agreed target.
It is a great game for developing an understanding of place value up to thousandths.
