6th Grade Order of Operations Worksheets

Here you will find a range of problem solving worksheets which involve using knowledge of the order of operations.

The sheets have been put in order of difficulty, with the easiest first.

Each problem sheet comes complete with an answer sheet.

We have split our sheets into 3 different sections:

  • the first section involves working out the value of different expressions
  • the second section involves solving inequalities comparing 2 different expressions
  • the third section is the hardest and involves using arithmetic skills to solve more challenging problems.

Using these sheets will help your child to:

  • use and apply the PEMDAS rule to work out the value of different expressions
  • use the PEMDAS rule to solve a range of problems

6th Grade Order of Operations Worksheets

These sheets are put in order of difficulty with the easiest sheet first.

All the questions involve working out the value of a range of different expressions.

The first sheet is a multiple choice sheet, the other sheets require a numerical answer.

Order of Operations Solving Inequalities

These sheets involve comparing the values of 2 different expressions.

Order of Operations Challenges

These sheets involve solving more complex Order of Operations problems.

For incorrect responses, we have added some helpful learning points to explain which answer was correct and why.
