Welcome to the Math Salamanders Bar Graphs 4th Grade.

Here you will find our range of bar graph worksheets for 4th graders which will help your child to read and answer questions about different bar graphs.

The data includes real-life problems, large numbers into millions and also rounding and ordering numbers.

Fourth graders should be already be very familiar with drawing and reading bar graphs with various scales.

The next stage includes dealing with larger numbers into the millions and also decimal numbers.

On this page there is a variety of bar graphs on lots of different topics.

Bar graphs include topics such as longest wingspan of birds, earthquakes, long jump records and population.

Some of the bar graph sheets involve drawing missing bars, or completing missing data using the bars.

The sheets have been put roughly in order of difficulty with the easiest sheet first.

Using these bar graphs 4th grade will help your child to:

- read and answer questions about bar graphs at a 4th grade level;
- read and interpret bar graphs with a scale going up in different amounts;
- draw missing bars in a bar graph;
- order and round numbers;
- answer questions involving data.

The bar graph worksheets in this section are at a 3rd grade level and are simpler than those on this page.

The level of interpretation is a little easier and the bar graphs may involve easier numbers and simpler scales.

At 4th grade the line graphs are beginning to get a bit more tricky.

The scales used on our sheets are more varied.

The questions involve reading and interpretation of the graphs at a harder level than 3rd grade.

The sheets will help your child to read, interpret and draw line graphs.

Each of our sheets consists of one set of objects, shapes or numbers to sort, and two separate venn diagrams to sort into.

Here is our selection of measurement worksheets for 4th graders.

These sheets involve reading scales in both the standard and metric systems.

The scales include finding the length, weight or liquid capacity.

Using these sheets will help your child understand how to:

- read scales in both the standard and metric systems;
- read a scale going up in a range of fractions: halves, quarters and eighths;
- read a scale going up in tenths, fives, tens, fifties, and hundreds.

Using these sheets will help children to consolidate their fractions and place value learning.
