Welcome to our Count and Graph Worksheets page.
All the sheets on this page involve counting a range of objects and shading in the correct amount of squares on the pre-prepared bar graph to represent the number of each object.
This is a great activity for developing accurate recording and counting skills and is particularly suitable to first and second graders.
All of our count and graph worksheets are themed so you can select the worksheets that matches the time of year or interest of your child/class.
Count and Graph worksheets involve turning a set of data into a bar chart where each square or rectangle represents one object.
So if the data contains the same object six times, then 6 squares of the bar chart are shaded.
Count and Graph activities are a good way to develop systematic counting and recording skills to ensure that no objects have been left out.
Let's look at an example of a Count and Graph sheet.
The table below contains the data which involves different types of fruit.
In this example, we can see that there are a total of:
All we need to do is to record the number of each fruit by shading in the correct number of rectangles in the bar graph.
The finished bar graph shows the same data from the table recorded in a systematic way.
The worksheets have been split up into different sections according to the theme.
