This should not affect the printing of the sheets which should display correctly.

Here is our random worksheet generator for creating you own addition and subtraction of a range of fractions.

Using this generator will let you create worksheets about:

- adding and/or subtracting fractions with like denominators
- adding and/or subtracting fractions where one denominator is a multiple of the other
- adding and/or subtracting fractions with unlike denominators
- adding and/or subtracting improper fractions

4 Steps to Your Worksheets...

- Choose your fraction values
- Choose if you want proper fractions, unit fractions or improper fractions
- Choose if you want like denominators, unlike denominators or denominator multiples
- Choose if you want to add and subtract, or just add or just subtract fractions
- Choose if you want missing addends or a missing total
- Choose if you want to include negative answers when subtracting
- Choose the number of questions
- View your sheet
- Print your sheet

You can choose fraction values up to a given denominator value, so that if you choose fifths, then you can get any denominator up to fifths, i.e. halves, thirds, quarters, fifths.

For the generator you can either choose proper fractions, which is the default, Unit Fractions or improper fractions. Proper fractions have a numerator less than the denominator.

If you select Unit Fractions, all the fractions will have a numerator of 1.

If you select Improper Fractions the generator will create both proper and improper fractions.

You can choose different denominator types depending on how difficult you want the questions to be.

You can select Like Denominators, where the denominators are both equal.

You can select Unlike Denominators, where they are both randomly generated.

You can select Denominator Multiples where one of the fractions has a denominator which is a multiple of the other denominator.

Choose whether you want Addition and Subtracting, just Addition or just Subtraction questions.

If you allow negative answers, then it allows for the answer to be negative when subtracting fractions.

Sometimes, you may want to add an extra layer of difficulty by providing an addition or subtraction fraction equation where one of the other fractions is missing (rather than the one after the = sign).

Having this feature turned on will create a missing fraction somewhere in the equation - it may be the first number, second number, or third number.
