Welcome to our Math Christmas Activities 4th Grade page.

Here you will find our range of free printable Christmas Math worksheets designed for 4th graders.

There are a range of different worksheets including puzzles, word problems, color-in, coordinates and more Christmas worksheets.

Here you will find a range of math Christmas Worksheets for 4th graders.

We have a range of different challenges, nets, games and activities to enjoy which mainly focus on addition and subtraction skills.

The math topics covered include:

- finding fractions of sets of objects
- using coordinates in two quadrants
- solving addition and subtraction puzzles
- playing games which use all 4 operations to make different totals

We have a set of fraction worksheets with a Christmas theme.

The following worksheets involve finding fractions of number of different sets of objects and shading the correct number of the pictures.

- The first sheet involves finding halves and quarters only (easier)
- The second sheet involves finding unit fractions (where the numerator is equal to 1) of a range of objects (easier)
- The third sheet involves finding a range of unit and non-unit fractions of sets of objects where the number of objects is usually the same as the denominator.
- The 4th sheet involves finding a range of fractions of sets of objects where the number of objects is a multiple of the denominator.

These sheets involve writing down the coordinates of different Christmas themed pictures on the grid.

There is also a challenge to find Santa's Secret Grotto using the clues on the sheet provided.

The puzzles featured on this page have not been put into any particular order and are a similar level of difficulty.

Within each set of puzzles, the puzzles get gradually harder, so that puzzle 4A is easier than puzzle 4B, and so on.

These Christmas adding worksheets involve adding the values of the pictures together.

Challenges 4A and 4D involve adding decimals with 1dp up to 2.

Challenges 4B and 4C involve adding fractions with halves and quarters.

Challenges 4C and 4D involve using the totals of the rows and reasoning about numbers to work out the values of the four pictures. These sheets are at a more advanced level and require more reasoning skills.

In this math Christmas activity, the aim is to find the path through the maze that makes the correct total.

As you go through the maze, you add up the numbers in each snowflake.

Each maze has a different target total to try to make.

Sheet 4A involves adding halves up to 25.

Sheet 4B involves adding halves and quarters up to 10.

Sheet 4C involves adding decimals with 1dp up to 10.

These math Christmas activities 4th grade are all about adding pairs of numbers.

Each hexagonal 'leaf' of the Christmas tree is equal to the sum of the two leaves under it.

So you have to add up each pair of leaves underneath to find the totals above.

Puzzle 4A involves adding pairs of numbers: multiples of 10 and multiples of one-half.

Puzzle 4B involves adding pairs of numbers and finding differences: multiples of 10 and multiples of one-half.

Puzzle 4C involves adding pairs of numbers and finding differences: multiples of one-half and multiples of one-quarter.

If you want children to challenge themselves, then get them to use our Christmas Tree Challenge template and choose their own numbers to put on the bases of the trees and then fill them in with their own values.

These math Christmas activities 4th grade are all about counting on and back in different size steps.

Each time you move in one direction in the puzzle, you have to add or subtract a certain number.

Each time you move in a different direction, you add or subtract a different number.

Puzzle 4A involves counting on and back by halves and quarters.

Puzzle 4B involves counting on and back by decimals up to 1dp.

Whilst these games have not been specifically designed for 4th graders, we have included them as we feel they will help to develop their mathematical thinking and reasoning skills, as well as mental arithmetic.
