Measuring Length Worksheets
Here you will find a range of basic measurement worksheets to introduce your child to measuring length with a ruler.
The activities involve reading a simple scale going up by ones using a ruler.
The rulers show the children different lengths in both inches and centimeters and are a good introduction to these units.
There are two separate measuring activities on the worksheets. The first activity involves writing down the correct number of inches or centimeters indicated by an arrow. The second activity involves writing down the length of a line which is above a correctly aligned ruler.
Using these sheets will help your child to:
- learn the equipment we use for measuring;
- learn how to read a scale going up in 1s;
- begin to learn how big inches and centimetres are.
