Our codebreaker worksheets each contain a Thanksgiving joke. To find the answer to the joke, you have to work out the codebreaker!
Sheet 3A involves solving addition and subtraction facts to 30.
Sheet 3B involves finding multiplication facts up to 10x10.
The first sheet involves adding up four numbers including halves to find the missing totals.
The second sheet is more challenging. You have to use the totals to find the missing values of all the Thanksgiving pictures.
To work out the solution to these puzzles, you have to use your reasoning skills.
You are given different symbols in an equation and you have to work out the values of each of the symbols and also the missing totals.
The first sheet is easier and has 4 symbols to find.
The second sheet is more challenging and involves a wider range of values and has 5 picture symbols.
We have created several math games suitable for 2nd and 3rd graders with a Thanksgiving theme.
Turkey Crossing is a strategy game. One player plays 3 farmers and the other player is the turkey. The turkey has to escape from the farmers and get to the other side of the field to escape. This game is suitable for kids of all ages.
Thanksgiving Cover Up which is a fun math fact game where you use your addition, subtraction and multiplication skills to make different numbers. There is an easier and harder version of this game.
Thanksgiving Three of a Kind game which is very similar to the Thanksgiving Cover Up game.
Each game comes complete with instructions.
We have created a couple of nets with a Thanksgiving theme.
There are several versions of each net, so you can either choose one which already has pictures to color or draw your own.
The nets are best printed out on thick paper so that you can make them into Thanksgiving boxes.
To make the Thanksgiving boxes, you need to work slowly carefully and have plenty of patience!
