Welcome to our 3D Shape Nets Summer Themed page.
Here you will find a wide range of free printable Summer-themed nets,
so that you can create your own handy colorful boxes.
3D Shape Nets Summer Themed
We have created a range of printable summer themed 3d nets for a range of boxes.
These nets can be used as a seed box to collect summer seeds, or to store some small items.
You could also use the boxes to store math games items such as dice and counters.
Each net is available in several different formats:
- a color version with colored background and colored pictures - no coloring needed!
- a color version with a colored background and outline pictures to color in
- a b/w version with outline pictures - color the pictures and background yourself
- a plain net with no pictures
3D Shape Nets Summer Themed Boxes
We have created two different summer themed boxes:
- a rectangular prism box
- a triangular prism box
- a hexagonal prism box
Each box comes with a lid which can open and close and a blank label to personalise the box.
How to Make your Summer Themed 3d Shape Net
Making your Summer Themed 3D Box
You will need:
- thick paper or card to print the net onto
- a pair of scissors
- a ruler for pre-folding the tabs (optional)
- some sticky tack for the lid (optional)
- coloring pencils for decoration the box and coloring the pictures
The nets are best printed out on thick paper so that you can make them into sturdy Summer boxes.
To make the boxes, you need to work slowly carefully and have plenty of patience!
Follow these instructions to create your box:
- Choose which box you want to make and print it out on thick paper.
- Cut out the nets carefully and take your time to do a good job.
- Color the net once you have cut it out but before you stick it together.
- Pre-fold along all the fold lines before assembling. This will make assembling and sticking easier. A ruler can be helpful for this
- Put a small amount of glue on each tab and then join the two folded sides together carefully.
- Finish making your box by sticking the sides together, remembering not to glue the lid of the box down!
- You should be able to open and close your lid - use a piece of sticky tack to hold it shut if you wish.

Version B has colored backgrounds and outline pictures to color in
Version C has white backgrounds and outline pictures to color in
