Here you will find a wide range of free printable nets for a
range of 3d shapes for display or to support Math learning.
The Math Salamanders have a large bank of free printable shape clipart.
Each of the printable shape sheets is available either in color or black and white.
Using this shape clipart will help your child understand to recognize shapes and learn
about the different properties that shapes have.
On the sheets with multiple shapes, we have shown the shapes in different sizes and orientations so that
your child will recognize variations of the same shape, and start noticing the properties the same shapes all have.
The sheets can be used as part of a Math display, as flashcards, or as printable coloring sheets.

Here is our selection of printable Polyhedra nets.
Each net is available with or without tabs.
Tetrahedrons are a special type of triangular based pyramid with equilateral triangles for all 4 faces.
Octahedrons are polyhedra with 8 faces. Each face is an equilateral triangle.
You can also make an octahedron by sticking two square-based pyramids together.
Dodecahedrons are polyhedra with 12 faces. Each face is a pentagon.
Icosahedrons are polyhedra with 20 faces, each face is an equilateral triangle.
These truncated nets are like pyramids that have had the ends chopped off.
The nets will make a complete truncated pyramid (with a lid), which could be used as a box or container
and would make an ideal home-made gift when decorated.
