3rd Grade

Welcome to our Line Graph Worksheets 3rd Grade.

Here you will find our range of line graph sheets for 3rd graders which will help your child to interpret, draw and read line graphs.

The line graph sheets on this page are at a fairly simple level - for more complex graphs please see below.

Third graders will be familiar with bar graphs and picture graphs already, and should now be ready to be introduced to simple line graphs.

The vertical scale in most of the sheets on this page goes up in 2s, so the graphs should be fairly straightforward to read.

On this page there are a wide variety of line graphs on a variety of different topics.

Some of the line graphs start at zero on the vertical axis, but some of the graphs start at higher numbers.

There are lots of opportunities on each of the worksheets to interpret the graphs and answer simple questions about the data.

On some of the later sheets, there are opportunities for plotting and drawing part of the graph.

Using these 3rd grade line graphs will help your child to:

- read and answer questions about line graphs;
- read and interpret line graphs with a scale going up in 2s;
- plotting and drawing missing parts of a line graph;
- answer questions involving data.

The worksheets have been split up into 2 different sections below.

The first section contains line graph worksheets that focus on interpreting.

The second section involves plotting and drawing parts of the line graph as well as interpreting.

The bar graph worksheets in this section are at a 2nd grade level and are simpler than those on this page.

The level of interpretation is a little easier and the bar graphs may involve scales going up in 1s or 2s.

There are a selection of bar graph and also picture graph worksheets on this page.

Using the link below will open up the 2nd Grade Math Salamanders website in a new browser window.

The line graph worksheets in this section are at a 4th grade level and are more complex than those on this page.

The scales are more complex, and involve more complicated questions and data analysis.

We have a wide selection of bar graph and venn diagram worksheets designed for 3rd graders.

At a 3rd grade level, the bar graphs are now showing a range of different scales such as 2s, 5s, 10s, 100s.

The pictograms are becoming more complex with each symbol representing more than one unit.

Here are a range of problems solving sheets for 3rd graders. Most of the sheets contain 'real-life' problems which involve real data.

Using the sheets will help your child to:

- apply their addition, subtraction, and multiplication skills;
- develop their ability to analyse data;
- apply their knowledge of rounding and place value;
- solve a range of 'real life' problems.

All the 3rd grade sheets in this section support Elementary math benchmarks.

Here is our selection of measurement worksheets for 3rd graders.

These sheets involve reading scales going up in halves, ones, fives, tens, fifties and hundreds to find the length, weight or liquid capacity.

Using these sheets will help children to consolidate their counting and place value as well as learning to read and estimate using a simple scale.
